Beginning with Dead Funny

How do you want to be remembered?

It is a question most of us encounter at some point in our lives.

How we are remembered says something about who we were, what we valued and what we left behind.

Stories fade. Memories are lost to time. Places change, and voices fall silent.

At Nidd Films, we believe film has the power to preserve the precious fabric of life: the histories we inherit, the landscapes that shape us, the communities we belong to and the emotional truths that connect one generation to the next.

By supporting Nidd Films, you are helping to ensure that meaningful stories are not simply lived and forgotten, but carried forward.

How will your story be remembered?

Your support helps us create independent films with meaningful social and cultural impact — stories— stories that celebrate Yorkshire places, preserve memory, open conversations, and bring communities closer to the landscapes and histories around them.

Through film, education, exhibitions and community partnerships, we preserve meaningful stories, celebrate the places that shape us and connect audiences across generations.
