Blending dark comedy with magical realism, Dead Funny follows lifelong best friends Paul and Jake after an angelic error leaves them lost in limbo before their time.
Set on Midwinter Night and rooted in the landscape of Nidderdale, the film asks what becomes visible when the noise and distractions of ordinary life fall away. With only their Yorkshire banter, childhood keepsakes and care for one another, Paul and Jake begin to look beyond the paths they have always followed.
Dead Funny begins with death, but it is ultimately about life—and the possibility of finding new ways forward.
