Learning in Motion
It’s been another quietly productive week, and I’m starting to see how the theory behind producing connects to the realities of creative practice. The reading has been especially valuable, shaping how I think about the producer’s role not just as organiser, but as translator of vision and guardian of meaning.

Exploring the different models of financing and collaboration discussed in recent weeks has been eye-opening. Authors like Finney and Bloore highlight how the producer’s craft lies in balancing creative ambition with practical strategy, something I’m learning to navigate day by day.
Alongside this, revisiting materials from the Doc Society Impact Field Guide and recent discussions around The Lost King reminded me why empathy and ethics must sit at the heart of any production. It’s not simply about making a film; it’s about understanding the difference it can make.
I can’t say too much about my current project just yet, but these ideas are feeding directly into how I’m approaching it. What I can say is that it’s beginning to feel like something special — one I’m genuinely already proud of.
Fingers (and toes) crossed.
